Make-up brand Peripera eliminated its pictures with (G)-IDLE’s Soojin and APRIL’s Naeun because of the recent bullying allegations from classmates and ex-APRIL member Hyunjoo respectively.
After the statements of DSP Media on March 2nd, Hyunjoo’s little brother came forward to refute the words of the agency. The post had pictures of a medical registry, which served as evidence.
“The hospital told my sister that the pain wouldn’t go if she kept working with APRIL, so she asked to take a hiatus but the company refused.” the boy said.
He recalls the moment when his sister decided to leave the group, “After many bullying instances, my sister couldn’t take it anymore and attempted suicide, yet the company came to the hospital where she was recovering and told her that she had to attend the schedule of that day”.
Moreover, former members of project group UNI.T, Suji and Yoonjo, expressed their support for Hyunjoo. DSP Media announced that they would check into legal actions for Hyunjoo and her family.
In the meanwhile, Naeun’s career seems to have come to a dead end. As stated before, Peripera eliminated her pictures from the website, but also many other brands such as Dongsuh Foods, J.ESTINA and Samjin Pharmacy have announced that they’re looking into the situation and cancelled all promotions for the moment.
Not only that, but Delicious Rendezvous and Taxi Model teams stated that they would try to erase the majority of the idol’s content from the episodes.
