Two bonded kittens showed up outside a family's backyard on a snowy day. They turned out to be the sweetest pair.

Dorset Rescue Kittens, a cat rescue based in Ontario, Canada, was contacted about two kittens that had wandered into a backyard on New Year's Day.
"The family who saw them, knew they needed to do something to help. They contacted me and we came up with a plan," Cailey Seymour, the founder of Dorset Rescue Kittens, told Love Meow.
The tabbies appeared to be feral and wouldn't let people approach them. The family started putting food and water outside, slowly moved the dishes closer to their shed, and eventually led the kittens into a secure area.

When the two made it into the shed, they remained close together while the family encouraged them into a large carrier using food. The feline siblings were inseparable from the start, and constantly looking out for each other.
The pair of kittens was transported to a foster home, where they would start socialization, away from the elements of the outdoors.

They were named Hampshire and Shi by the family that found them. They were very timid at first, huddled up in a corner at their foster home.
With some treats, pets and lots of patience, the tabbies began to relax as they realized that they were safe.

After exploring around their new digs, the brother and sister came out of their shells and quickly adjusted to life as indoor cats. Once they got a taste of love, their eyes lit up and ears perked up, and they began to crave more affection.
One of them discovered the joy of cuddles, and the other quickly followed suit. They encouraged each other to try new things and shared every adventure together.

The sweet feline siblings look nearly identical. Shi the sister is slightly fluffier and has more orange on her face.
It didn't take long for their personalities to come out in full swing. They turned into rambunctious, vocal and cuddly kittens.

"They are eating lots, playing like crazy and getting unlimited cuddles on their own terms. They are getting nothing but love in their foster home."
The two best friends will never have to worry about food and shelter. They are joined at the hip and follow each other everywhere around the house.

They have brought out the confidence in each other and learned to enjoy the company of human friends.
"They have always been deeply bonded. They do everything together. They're often caught spooning in their laundry basket," Cailey shared with Love Meow.

After 1.5 months in foster care, the tabbies are ready to embark on a new journey to their forever home. Hampshire and Shi are a packaged deal and have to stay together.
They hope to find a special family that will be willing to give the kittens the time they need to come out of their shells. "Although they are extremely social and loving with their foster parents, they are still nervous around new people."

"Shi is the cutest and sweetest little bundle of joy. She was spicy at first, but warmed up quickly. She purrs when she eats, plays, gets pets, and even when she sleeps," the Foster Mom shared.

"Hampshire was a little more shy at first, but once he warms up he is a snuggle bug. He's not afraid to tell you when he wants your attention with his precious meows. He loves to play with his sister and loves taking naps while snuggling up against you."

The brother and sister have come a long way since they were found roaming the streets. They have been each other's rock and are so happy to be thriving together.
