Kakao Entertainment M Announces Winners of Drama Competition

Kakao Entertainment M announced on April 2nd that it has selected a total of six films. The contest, in which participated all kinds of directors, was won by six lucky winners. Killer’s Paradise was selected as the grand prize winner.

Lee Kunsook‘s Killer’s Paradise is a mystery film about a man who loses his family in a serial murder case. Chosen through a deep discussion, it was picked out as the most complete, original and market-friendly work of the competition.

Furthermore, the excellence awards were for the romantic comedies Touch Town of Flames and The Effect of Pink Lens. The honor awards were given out to Selling My Boyfriend, Criminal Handbook and Tiger is a Flower.

Overall ₩55M, the final winner won ₩20M, then ₩10M for each of the two excellence awards and ₩5M for each of the three honor awards. They’re also given the opportunity to showcase their work as an original Kakao TV adaptation.

Regarding that, Jang Sejeong, director of the video business division of Kakao Entertainment M, said “In this competition, storytellers are very interested in the new genre of well-made short dramas. We plan to provide full support for them.” he finished.
